Reverse description A rose in bloom, the civic emblem of Rhodes, occupies the center of the design with a budding secondary rose to the left. The ethnic abbreviation Ρ-Ο appears divided on either side of the rose stalk. The magistrate's name ΔΑΜΑΣ is inscribed above in the field, identifying the issuing authority. A small cult statue or trophy appears in the lower right field as a secondary symbol. The entire reverse composition is set within a shallow square incuse, characteristic of the Rhodian plintophoric series.
