Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine archaic-to-classical transitional style. The deity is depicted with youthful, idealized features, a gently parted lip, and an almond-shaped eye. The laurel wreath is rendered with broad, clearly delineated leaves crowning the flowing hair, which falls in thick, striated locks behind the neck. The flan is irregular, with the portrait occupying the full field in high relief.
