Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine archaic-to-classical transitional style with elaborately braided and waved hair falling in a long curl behind the neck. The facial features are delicately modeled with a straight nose, slightly parted lips, and a calm, idealized expression. A wreath of laurel encircles the crown of the head. The portrait fills the flan with confident relief characteristic of Bithynian civic coinage of the mid-4th century BC. The ethnic legend ΚΙΑ appears in the field.
