| Obverse description | Diademed bust of Ardakhshir IV facing left, with elaborately striated hair gathered in a large bun above the crown of the head. The diadem ties are visible behind the ear, and the neck is adorned with a beaded necklace. Draping is indicated at the lower truncation, rendered in the distinctive stylized manner characteristic of late Persis coinage. An Aramaic inscription appears in the upper right field. |
