Obverse description Helmeted male head facing right, rendered in archaic Greek style with bold, slightly crude relief typical of late Laconian coinage. The figure wears a Corinthian or Attic-style helmet pushed back on the head, with the brow and facial features summarily but expressively rendered. The flan is irregular and slightly off-center, consistent with hand-struck production of the period. No inscription appears on the obverse field.
