| Obverse description | Forepart of a recumbent lion facing right, head reverted to the left in high relief, the mane rendered with fine incised striations radiating from the neck. The animal's musculature is boldly modelled, with extended forelegs resting upon the ground line. The design fills the flan with characteristic archaic vigour, set within a slightly irregular circular border. |

| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square divided into four sections by raised ridges, alternating between two raised and two sunken compartments in a diagonally opposed arrangement. One of the sunken squares contains a single pellet, and the opposing sunken square features a garlanded pilos helmet, serving as a magistrate's symbol or control mark. The incuse technique is characteristic of early Thracian Chersonese coinage. |
