Reverse description An eagle standing to the right with wings partially spread and closed, rendered with finely detailed feathering across the body and wings. The bird grips the ground with taloned feet, its head turned slightly forward in a heraldic pose. To the right of the eagle appears the ethnic abbreviation ABY in Greek characters, arranged vertically in the field, with a crescent symbol positioned below the lettering. The composition is typical of Abydene civic coinage of the mid-4th century BC, referencing Apollo's sacred bird alongside a lunar symbol.
