| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square divided diagonally into four triangular sections, alternating between two raised and two sunken compartments in a windmill pattern typical of archaic Greek coinage. In one of the sunken quarters, a bucranium (ox-skull) is depicted as a symbol; in the adjacent sunken quarter, the monogram AΓ appears above a single pellet. The raised sections are plain and polished. No surrounding legend is present. This reverse type is the hallmark of Chersonesian hemidrachms and served as a consistent civic badge throughout the series. |
