| Obverse description | Facing head of the local nymph Gyrtone, rendered in fine Classical style, turned very slightly to the left. The hair is bound by an ampyx across the forehead, with loose wavy locks cascading to either side. The facial features are sensitively modeled with large eyes, a straight nose, and slightly parted lips. The entire design is set within a beaded border. |
