| Obverse description | Head of Athena in right profile, wearing a crested Attic helmet adorned with a laurel wreath along the bowl. The hair is rendered in fine wavy locks falling beneath the helmet rim, and the goddess's features are modeled with accomplished Late Classical precision. The cheek guard of the helmet is raised, revealing the full profile of the face. The overall style reflects the fine engraving tradition of the Troad region in the fourth century BC. |

| Reverse description | Facing bucranium (bull's head en face) rendered in bold high relief, with prominent curving horns flanking the legend above. The Greek ethnic inscription ΑΣΣΙΟΝ is disposed around the central device, with letters distributed to the upper field between the horns and to either side of the neck. A thunderbolt symbol appears to the left of the bucranium, serving as a secondary emblem in the field. The composition is characteristic of Assos coinage of the mid-fourth century BC, where the bull's head functioned as the principal civic type. |
