Reverse description A large central Alpha (A), the civic initial of Argos, dominates the reverse field within a shallow incuse square. The letters Pi (Π) and Rho (Ρ) are positioned above, flanking the Alpha to either side, serving as a magistrate's or ethnic abbreviation. A Heraklean club is depicted to the right below, serving as an additional civic or magistrate symbol. The incuse square border is lightly defined, consistent with hammered Greek coinage of the Peloponnesian tradition.
