Obverse description Youthful head of Dionysos facing right, hair bound with a ivy or vine wreath, rendered in archaic Greek style with flowing locks falling behind the neck. The portrait is set in high relief against a plain, unlettered field, with fine die-engraving capturing the naturalistic facial features characteristic of late Classical Thasian coinage. No legend or exergual inscription appears on the obverse.
