| Obverse description | Laureate head of Zeus facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curling hair and a full, flowing beard. The laurel wreath crowns the deity's head with individual leaves clearly articulated. The portrait displays the characteristic mature, idealized physiognomy associated with Zeus on Achaian League coinage of the late second and early first century BC. The field is plain, and the flan edge is slightly irregular, typical of hammered provincial silver of this period. |
