| Obverse description | An elephant in profile facing right occupies the central field, depicted in low relief with its trunk raised, rendered in a naturalistic yet archaic style characteristic of early Indo-Scythian coinage. The animal is set within a rectangular dotted border framing the design. A Greek legend encircles the central device, distributed around the perimeter of the flan. The die work is bold but somewhat roughly executed, consistent with the struck-cast hybrid production methods of the period. |
