| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square divided into four recessed compartments by a raised cross-shaped ridge, struck in deep relief with alternating raised and sunken sections creating a windmill or mill-sail pattern. The incuse is boldly impressed and irregular at the edges, reflecting the hand-hammered technique employed at Kyzikos during the archaic period. No legend or additional device is present. The reverse is plain and uninscribed, as is typical of early electrum coinage from this mint. |
