Obverse description A tunny fish (Atlantic bluefin tuna) depicted in bold relief, oriented to the right, occupying the majority of the field. A prominent spike or rostrum projects from the head, with a single pellet positioned behind the eye. A second tunny is rendered above in smaller scale, also facing right, serving as the characteristic Kyzikene ethnic badge. The design is executed in the archaic Greek style with schematic yet vigorous modelling, typical of early electrum coinage from the Propontis region. No legend or inscription is present.
