| Obverse description | Three tunny fish (tuna) arranged in parallel, swimming to the left in high relief against a plain field, rendered in a naturalistic yet stylized archaic manner characteristic of Kyzikene coinage. The fish are finely detailed, with clearly articulated fins and tails, and are stacked diagonally across the flan. The tunny, a hallmark emblem of Kyzikos referencing the city's renowned tuna fisheries on the Propontis, occupies the full width of the coin's surface. The overall composition is bold and dynamic, with the irregular flan typical of early hammered electrum issues. |

| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square divided into four recessed compartments by raised ridges meeting at the centre, a standard reverse type for archaic Kyzikene electrum hektes. The four sections display a rough, granular texture characteristic of the incuse punch technique used in early Greek coinage. The asymmetric depth and surface texture of the individual quadrants reflect the hand-struck nature of the issue. No legend or subsidiary device is present. This reverse type is consistent with archaic coinage production of the late sixth to mid-fifth century BC. |
