| Obverse description | Laureate female head facing left, hair bound in a sakkos; the effigy is rendered in fine archaic Greek style with delicate facial features. A small incuse seal (phoke), inverted and facing right, appears below the neck as the civic badge of Phokaia. The field is smooth and unlettered, characteristic of Phokaian electrum coinage of this series. |
