Obverse description Bare head of Aktaeon facing right in fine archaic style, rendered with carefully articulated hair swept back in wavy locks and surmounted by a single stag's antler horn projecting from the crown of the head. The facial features are rendered with confident incised lines, displaying a pronounced profile with almond-shaped eye, straight nose, and firm chin characteristic of late archaic Greek die-cutting. The effigy occupies the full field of the flan with no legend or border.
