Obverse description Bare head of a female deity, identified as Persephone, facing right, rendered in the early Classical style with finely detailed wavy hair drawn back and secured by a plain diadem or taenia, with loose locks falling behind the neck. The facial features are delicately modeled with an almond-shaped eye, a subtly parted mouth, and a well-defined profile. The flan is slightly irregular, as is characteristic of hammered electrum coinage from Lesbos. No legend or inscription is present in the field.
