| Obverse description | A nude male figure, identified as a youthful hero or deity, depicted in dynamic kneeling-running pose (knielauf) astride a galloping horse advancing to the left. The figure wears a radiate crown with prominent spikes, rendered in high relief characteristic of Kyzikene electrum coinage. The musculature of the figure is rendered with confident archaic craftsmanship, the horse's head turned slightly outward with open mouth. The composition fills the irregular flan, with no legend present, consistent with the aniconic monetary tradition of this mint. |
