Obverse description A wolf rampant at bay, its right forepaw raised, depicted in profile facing left; below the animal, a tunny fish oriented to the left, serving as the civic badge of Kyzikos. The figures are rendered in the archaic Greek style with bold, confident lines characteristic of early Ionian coinage. The animal types are set against a plain field with no inscription or legend, consistent with the pre-epigraphic tradition of Kyzikene electrum issues.
