| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square occupying the full reverse field, formed by a deeply recessed punch divided into four equal rectangular compartments by raised ridges meeting at the centre. Alternating quarters appear raised and sunken, producing a windmill or mill-sail pattern typical of early Greek hammered coinage. The incuse is sharply defined, reflecting the use of a square punch die. The flan edges are irregular, consistent with hand-cut electrum blanks of the archaic period. No inscription or additional device is present. |
