Reverse description The reverse displays a mirror-image or incuse impression of the obverse bear device, consistent with the single-die hammered striking technique used for small medieval silver coins of this type. The bear figure is again visible walking to the left within a plain border, though the relief is shallower and the details less crisp than on the obverse. No inscription or additional design elements are present. The irregular flan and flat reverse field are characteristic of low-denomination Bernese issues of the early 15th century.
