Obverse description Central field features a five-pointed star (pentagram) rendered in bold relief, formed by two intersecting triangles with straight strokes meeting at five points. Three small pellets are arranged in a triangular grouping at the lower interior of the star. The design is enclosed within a beaded or rope-like border following the irregular flan's periphery. The overall execution is characteristic of late medieval Russian hammered coinage, with a slightly uneven strike typical of early fifteenth-century Moscow mint production.
