| Obverse lettering | PAVLVS III PONT MAX PLAC` D PLACENTIE (Translation: Paul III Supreme Pontiff and Lord of Piacenza) |
| Reverse description | Facing bust of Saint Savinus, second Bishop of Piacenza, depicted mitred and nimbate, wearing episcopal vestments. The saint holds a crozier in his left hand while his right hand is raised in the gesture of benediction. The figure is rendered in a stylized, frontal ecclesiastical manner characteristic of Italian Renaissance billon coinage. The surrounding circular legend in Latin identifies the saint and his episcopal title. The flan is irregular, consistent with hammered production technique. |
