Reverse description A boldly rendered imperial eagle displayed with wings spread and head turned to the right, occupying the central field of the coin. The eagle's plumage is rendered with fine incised feather detailing on the wings and body, characteristic of hammered communal coinage of Lombardy. The surrounding circular legend, separated by a cross pattée at top and pellet stops, reads within a beaded border. Stars are interspersed among the legend letters, adding decorative emphasis to the civic device of Como.
