Reverse description A cross pattée occupies the centre of a four-lobed Gothic polylobe frame, its arms expanding toward each lobe, enclosed by a beaded inner circle. The ends of the cross terminate close to the inner edge of the polylobe. A circular legend in uncial Latin letters surrounds the inner circle, terminating with the sigil of the responsible mint official, identifying the authority of issue.
