| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the large Florentine lily (giglio), rendered in bold relief in the Gothic style characteristic of early Trecento coinage. The heraldic lily rises from a stylized base, its three prominent petals and lateral scrolls finely detailed, flanked on either side by the divided circular legend. The design reflects the civic pride of the Florentine Republic, with the lily serving as the principal emblem of the city. A fine beaded inner border frames the composition. |
