Reverse description Saint Cyriacus, patron saint of Ancona, depicted full-length and facing forward, nimbed and wearing episcopal vestments including a mitre. He holds a tall processional cross in his left hand while his right hand is raised in the gesture of benediction. The figure is rendered in the flattened Gothic style typical of central Italian ecclesiastical coinage of the early sixteenth century. The surrounding legend, separated by pellet stops, identifies the saint as Bishop Saint Cyriacus. The coin's irregular flan causes the legend to be partially incomplete at the margins.
