Obverse description A large fleur-de-lis occupies the central field, set within a plain inner circle. Surrounding this central motif is a Gothic arcade of arches, each containing a smaller stylized lily. The issuer's legend in uncial Latin characters runs between the inner circle and the outer beaded border, reading AIMO COMES. The overall design reflects the Italianate-Gothic artistic conventions typical of mid-14th-century Savoyard coinage.
