Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, the enthroned figure of the veiled Madonna is depicted facing forward, holding the Christ Child in her left arm. The mintmark letter 'K' appears in the left field, serving as the initial for the Kremnitz (Körmöcbánya) mint. The surrounding circular legend in Latin reads the royal and imperial titles of Rudolf II, separated by pellet stops. The composition is rendered in the characteristic late-Renaissance hammered style typical of Hungarian royal coinage of the period.
