Obverse description Central field displays an uncrowned bifold Hungarian shield bearing the Árpád dynastic stripes on the dexter side and the apostolic double cross rising from a triple hill on the sinister side. The shield outline is slightly curved with a straight upper edge. The mintmark is divided by the shield sides and appears within the field. The encircling legend reads the royal titles of Matthias II in abbreviated Latin.
