Reverse description Quartered shield displaying the arms of Catalonia (vertical pales) and Montpellier, centrally placed within an ornate polylobe border decorated with trefoil clovers at each lobe junction. Six rosettes are evenly distributed around the shield in the inner field, framing the heraldic device. The composition reflects the dual lordship status of Montpellier under the Crown of Aragon. A circular Latin legend occupies the outer border, separated by a cross pommée at its commencement.
