Reverse description Central field features a bold cross pattée set within a large cusped, multifoil quatrefoil or polylobed Gothic frame, all struck in high relief against a flat field. The cross, with its squared and slightly flared arms, occupies the full width of the inner medallion and is a hallmark of Crusader ecclesiastical heraldry. A finely executed beaded inner border encircles the central motif. The surrounding Latin legend reads + SEPTIMVS : BOEMVNDVS : COMES, identifying the issuer as Count Bohemund VII. The lettering is angular and characteristic of the Gothic epigraphic style prevalent in Outremer coinage of the late thirteenth century.
