| Reverse description | Central design consists of a long cross with ornate terminals dividing the field into four quadrants, each containing a heraldic shield. The shields bear the arms associated with Bishop David of Burgundy and the see of Utrecht, arranged in alternating fashion around the cross. The cross and shields are enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend, also within a beaded border, carries the date in Roman numerals in a Gothic uncial script characteristic of mid-fifteenth-century episcopal coinage of the Low Countries. |
