| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a large Gothic majuscule 'M' enclosed within a quadrilobe frame, the lobes formed by four cusped arches meeting at right angles. The letter is rendered in an ornate Gothic uncial style characteristic of late 15th-century Netherlandish coinage. A beaded inner circle separates the central device from the surrounding legend. The peripheral inscription runs clockwise between the inner and outer borders, struck in Gothic uncial lettering. |
