Obverse description Central field displays a rampant lion passant to sinister within a beaded inner circle. The lion is rendered in the Gothic heraldic style typical of Low Countries medieval coinage. Surrounding the inner circle is a decorative border composed of alternating motifs: one lion and eleven leaves, each enclosed within an individual arc or lobe, forming an ornate cusped frame. The outer legend in uncial Latin characters runs along the periphery of the coin.
Obverse script Latin (uncial)

Reverse description A prominent cross pattée extends to the coin's edge, dividing the field into four quadrants and intersecting an inner circular legend in uncial Latin characters. The arms of the cross pattée feature flared terminals characteristic of 14th-century Low Countries groat coinage. An outer legend runs along the periphery, separated from the inner legend by a beaded circle. The design follows the standard Flemish-influenced groat type with concentric zones of inscription framing the central cross.
