Reverse description A bold long cross pattée divides the reverse field into four quarters, each containing a distinctive arrangement of annulets: the upper-left quarter bears three annulets, the upper-right a single large annulet, the lower-left a single large annulet, and the lower-right three annulets, all set within a beaded inner circle. The circumferential legend CIUITAS BARCINONA, identifying the city of Barcelona as the place of issue, is distributed across the four quadrants of the outer margin. The cross arms are plain and strongly struck, typical of mid-fifteenth-century Catalan hammered coinage.
