Obverse description Central short cross pattee enclosed within a plain inner circle, with the letters D, V, X, and C distributed one in each angle of the cross. The quartered arms of Brabant and Limbourg appear within the quadrants, rendered in a Gothic heraldic style typical of 14th-century Low Countries coinage. A beaded inner border separates the central device from the outer legend. The field displays the characteristic irregular flan surface of hammered silver production.

Reverse description Quartered heraldic shield bearing the combined arms of Brabant and Limbourg, set within a cusped polylobe frame decorated with annelets in each of the outer angles between the lobes. The shield is rendered in a bold, high-relief Gothic style consistent with mid-14th-century Brabantine mint workmanship. A beaded border circumscribes the polylobe, beyond which the circumferential legend runs between two linear borders. The overall design reflects the influence of French gros tournois prototypes adapted for the Brabantine monetary system.
