Reverse description A bold long cross extending to the inner beaded circle divides the reverse field into four quarters, with an annulet in the first and fourth angles and three bezants arranged in triangular formation in the second and third angles. The Latin legend CIVITAS BARCINONA is distributed around the field between the inner and outer beaded circles, identifying Barcelona as the issuing mint. The design follows the standard Catalan groat type, combining civic and royal symbolism in a compact and well-organised composition typical of hammered silver coinage of the period.
