Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Empress Catherine II occupies the central field, depicted with an elaborate coiffure adorned with curls and a small diadem. The effigy is rendered in a neoclassical style characteristic of mid-18th-century Imperial Russian coinage. A circular Cyrillic legend surrounds the portrait, reading the abbreviated imperial titles. The mint mark СПБ (St. Petersburg) appears in the lower exergue beneath the bust truncation.

Reverse description The denomination ГРИВЕН НИКЪ is inscribed in two lines across the central field in bold Cyrillic characters, with the date below. The central design is framed by a decorative wreath composed of laurel and oak branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. Above the denomination, the Imperial Russian crown surmounts the composition, flanked by the upper portions of the wreath. The overall design is restrained and heraldic in character, typical of Catherine II-era silver subsidiary coinage.
