Reverse description A bold Latin cross with splayed terminals occupies the center of the design, enclosed within a quatrefoil of Gothic lobes formed by an inner circle. Two royal crowns and two fleurs-de-lis are placed alternately in the four angles of the cross. The circular Latin Christogram legend, a traditional medieval devotional invocation, runs around the periphery between beaded borders.
