| Reverse description | The civic arms of Nijmegen displayed prominently within a beaded inner circle. The shield features a double-headed eagle, upon whose chest is superimposed a smaller escutcheon bearing a double-tailed lion, representing the heraldic insignia of the city. The composition follows the standard typology of late medieval municipal gold coinage of the Low Countries and Gelderland region. A circular Latin legend in uncial script surrounds the beaded border. |
