Reverse description A displayed imperial double-headed eagle dominates the central field, its wings spread and talons visible, with a quartered heraldic shield superimposed on the breast bearing the cross of the Holy Roman Empire. A beaded inner circle separates the central device from the outer circumferential legend. The Latin inscription MONETA NOVA NUREMBRG is distributed around the periphery within a second beaded border. The execution is consistent with the Gothic die-cutting tradition of the Nuremberg municipal mint during the reign of Sigismund.
