Reverse description A full-length facing figure of St. Wenceslas, patron saint of Bohemia, depicted in armor and rendered in the late Gothic tradition. The saint stands erect, holding a pennant staff in his right hand and bearing a heraldic shield in his left. The surrounding Latin legend identifies the figure as the ducal patron saint. The composition reflects the iconographic conventions standard to Silesian and Bohemian ecclesiastical coinage of the early sixteenth century.
