| Obverse description | A Nandi bull depicted couchant (lying with legs folded beneath) upon a raised pedestal occupying the upper central field, rendered in schematic relief characteristic of late ancient Indian coinage. A crescent symbol is positioned in the field to the right of the bull's head. Below the pedestal, a two-line Brahmi legend reading 'Shri Nandanarāja' is inscribed in the lower field. The entire design is enclosed within a dotted border running along the coin's periphery. The flan is thin and irregular, consistent with bracteate hammered manufacture. |
