Reverse description A lyre depicted centrally in high relief, with clearly articulated strings and curved arms terminating in volutes, set against a plain field. The Greek legend THI ΠOΛYΘPOΥ is arranged around the lyre, reading along the upper and right periphery of the flan, identifying the issuing authority of Teos and a magistrate's name (Polythros). The lettering is boldly cut in archaic Greek epichoric script, characteristic of late fourth- to early third-century Ionian civic issues.
