Reverse description A mounted warrior in left-to-right profile rides a vigorously prancing horse, depicted with a single-strand tail, small neat hooves, and a mane rendered as pellets upon lines. The rider carries a spear and bears a shield upon his back while grasping the reins, conveying a martial equestrian theme characteristic of late Atrebatian coinage. The horse occasionally stands upon a short ground line. The dynastic inscription COF, reading 'son of Commios' (Commi Filius), is widely spaced behind the rider, above the horse's head, and below the horse. The entire design is enclosed within a pellet border.
