Obverse description Highly stylised Celtic head facing right, rendered in the characteristic La Tène artistic tradition. The hair is depicted as a series of bold parallel striations radiating outward to the left, while sinuous lenticular curls frame the facial area. The facial features are schematically rendered, with the profile occupying the right-centre of the flan. The entire composition displays the distinctive Celtic abstraction derived from earlier Macedonian prototypes, with naturalistic forms dissolved into flowing linear ornament.
